Francesca Greenstreet, PhD

Science Communicator / Neuroscientist

Hi, I'm Francesca,

a science communicator and researcher, based in London.

I am currently the communications manager for the School of Neuroscience at King’s College London, working closely with both researchers and the media to bring research to a wide audience in a creative and engaging manner.

I spent over 9 years as a neuroscientist, with a first author publication in Nature about the role of dopamine in learning. My scientific expertise ranges from experimental systems neuroscience to neural networks and data analysis.

My passion lies in science communication and education. Back when I was an academic researcher, I spent much of my time translating scientific ideas to the lay audience, from written pieces to podcasts and organising in-person scientific events. Now I have continued this work, bringing a creative but science-first approach to my role as a communications manager.

My goal is to bring deep and complex questions out of the academic domain and into the public sphere. I enjoy the challenge of tailoring the communication style to the audience and deeply believe that science should be for everyone.

Feel free to drop me a message if you want to hear more about my approach.
